Meditation Resources
Meditation is a practice that can be accessible for everyone. I consider meditation generally to be the practice of mindfulness – being in the moment, though it can be even more than that. It can look like different things to different people, but I encourage everyone to try various methods of meditation for themselves. I suggest starting simply, by closing your eyes and taking 5 deep breaths. Pay attention to how the breath feels in your body. If your mind starts talking to you (or never stopped), bring your attention to your breath. Five breaths takes about 1 minute, so you can do this as a daily practice or several times a day. That can be a meditation practice. For beginners, I also recommend mostly guided meditations, where someone talks you through the exercise. I’ve linked a few of my favorites from YouTube below.
