Most of my True Health Medicine (THM) patients are aware of the major changes that happened in the 2020-2021 transition. True Health Medicine ceased operations and I began practicing under Serenity Wellness Clinic as of January 1.
We’re now approaching the final phase of that transition which is moving out of my Tualatin office and into my new Tigard office. UPDATE: I’m now in my Tigard office! This post is intended to answer remaining question any THM patients have about continuing care. If you have questions that are not addressed here, please contact me by phone/text at 503-987-3622.
The first thing you need to do if you want to continue care with me is to schedule with me by clicking here. If you have any trouble scheduling, please call or text me at 503-987-3622 for assistance. Once you are scheduled, an invitation to the Charm portal for Serenity Wellness Clinic and additional instructions will be forthcoming – essentially, I’ll be walking you through the process.
If you aren’t due for a visit but want to ensure you’re established with my new clinic, please call or text me for an invitation to the portal and I’ll get you set up in advance.
Signed Consent Required
All patients will be required to sign a new consent to treat and office policies form before any care is delivered in 2021 including refilling prescriptions, ordering lab testing or office visits. If you are unable to complete this form online, a paper option is available here. Print, sign and return via portal message, fax or in person.

My new phone number is 503-987-DOCB (3622). Please save this number. If you have my personal cell phone number, I would appreciate you deleting that and using this number instead. This number can be used for phone calls and text messages, but please note that text messaging is not HIPAA compliant. When text messaging, please make sure to indicate your identity in your initial message as I cannot search patients by their phone number. Because text-messaging is not HIPAA compliant, please limit text messaging to letting me know you have arrived at the office, scheduling issues and business questions. Phone and fax numbers for True Health Medicine will continue to be active and monitored at least through June 2021.
Please request your medication refills in advance as possible. I usually recommend requesting your refill 2 weeks before you need it. As always, please request your refill from your pharmacy directly and let them contact me as this streamlines the process. However, if your pharmacy says they’ve been trying to reach me without success, please either provide them with my new contact information or contact me about your refill. I check for faxes and electronic refill requests daily and am usually able to process these within 24 hours, so if it’s been several days, please get in touch.
If you have previously ordered supplements through Full Script, you were invited to my new Full Script account. I will continue to add recommended products to that system for your convenience at visits. If you have trouble finding something, please let me know and I can send a recommendation separately from a visit.
I have also established another online supplement option, Wellevate. Wellevate acts much like Full Script and carries brands which are not available through Full Script. This gives me a broader range of supplement options to recommend to you.

Insurance Payments and Billing
Another question that has come up a few times is regarding insurance. It is my intention to stay in network with most major insurance companies and I have already started transitioning my credentials for a seamless transition. I will be monitoring this situation closely and will notify you if this affects your scheduled appointment.
The biggest changes coming in 2021 for insurance are for patients with Cigna and Aetna insurance. I will continue to be in-network with these companies as a naturopathic provider only. For Cigna and Aetna members, I will be out of network as an acupuncturist, meaning this will be an out-of-pocket cost. I do offer a discount on visits paid in full at the time of service. There are no fee changes from 2020 to 2021 and I will also continue to contract with Efficient Medical Billing Services (EMBS) as my billing provider. In 2021, I will be overseeing my billing personally which should help streamline the process.
If you have a lab order that we created from a prior visit under True Health Medicine, I recommend that you contact me to get an updated order. Some labs have indicated that they will not honor those old lab orders.
I’m excited to be able to continue offering discounted lab services through a new lab provider, Evexia Labs, starting in 2021. This applies to patients who pay out of pocket for their labs. Because Evexia’s pricing is so competitive, this will be the only platform I use for discounted lab services. The Evexia Labs platform provides pricing transparency and an easy web based payment system for labs.
If my new location is inconvenient for you and you choose to establish with a new provider, I understand and respect your decision. Your new provider may request records from me by fax at 503-987-3022 or you can request records by completing the Records Request form found on this page. This form is also available as a questionnaire, available upon request. I’m happy to provide you with access to your lab results and chart notes electronically and/or to fax them to you or a new provider. I am unable to email or mail hard copies of results at this time.
